    • Look ahead at weather forecasts

    • Check for chain fitting signs and road closures

  • 🚗 Vehicle & Wheel Chain Safety

    • Check your car’s manual – Some vehicles cannot have chains fitted (e.g. limited clearance, AWD/4WD restrictions)

    • Chains only fitted to tyres up to 35 inches

    • Ensure you know how to fit your own chains or ask for a demo

    • Practice fitting before you go – don’t wait until you’re in the snow!

  • 🔗 Wheel Chain Reminders

    • Hire early to avoid missing out

    • Fit chains when required – signs will advise

    • Fit to driving wheels (front or rear depending on your car)

  • 🏔️ If Going to Mt Baw Baw Resort

    • Pre-book resort entry online

    • Pre-book activities & gear hire during busy periods

    • Carry booking confirmations (digital or printed)

  • 🧤 What to Pack

    • Waterproof jacket & pants

    • Gloves, beanie, goggles/sunglasses

    • Layers of warm clothing (avoid cotton)

    • Waterproof boots/shoes

    • Spare dry clothes & socks

    • Bring snacks & water

    • Fuel up before heading up – limited or no fuel at the top
